Though mostly cloudy across the UK on Satuday, rain and showers is confined to areas across Ireland, Wales, and mostly northern England into Scotland. Winds grow stronger too meaning a sturdy brolly is needed.

Daily highs rise to around 28 °C around south-eastern England on the day, but struggle to breach the 20 °C mark elsewhere away from central to eastern parts of the country, quelled by the cloud and rain.

By Sunday, the temperatures will be around 30 °C in the same region, but remain in the high-teens to low-20s elsewhere.

While southern England enjoys much more sunshine, heavier rain passes over Ireland, into western Scotland and northern England later on the day.

Into the new week, signs suggest the third heatwave of the season is on the way. Though it won't be as bad as the last, with nighttime temperatures and humidity lower, despite this heat-health alerts have been issued from Saturday to Wednesday in parts of England.
