Cold front gradually brings wind & rain

Cloud and rain will advance from the west into Ireland and Northern Ireland through the day, accompanied by brisk winds.

Staying largely dry with variable cloud elsewhere, with showers then developing in the west into the evening, ahead of the cold front arriving later. Rain will continue to slowly edge in overnight.
