Weather outlook

Showery outbreaks of rain will continue to push northwards across the UK, becoming more organised and widespread across Ireland.

Through the evening showers across England and Wales will merge to a heavier, more organised band of rain, before then sinking south-eastwards later in the night and into Friday morning.

Blustery throughout the day too, with a strengthening wind later wrapping around Ireland and through the Irish Sea, reaching around 50 mph in Dublin.
