Weekend outlook - Becoming more unsettled with rain or showers at times

12:09

Weekend outlook
A more unsettled BH weekend

Low pressure will become more influential for a time this weekend

The pattern is shifting this Bank Holiday weekend, with showers and some thunderstorms becoming more likely. Pretty unfortunate timing!

Saturday still looks fairly decent across eastern and southern England, with good sunny spells and highs in the low twenties in some areas.

Further west and north, however, clouds will be more extensive as rain and showers move through, some of these showers could be on the heavy side.

Sunday looks generally more changeable. There will still be bright or sunny intervals, but also a greater chance of some heavy, showery rain for many, perhaps merging into longer wet spells over eastern and southeastern England.

Bank Holiday Monday continues the mixed theme, with some rain or showers at times, especially across southern parts of the UK, so it's worth keeping a light waterproof handy if you're out for longer periods.

Ireland and parts of Scotland meanwhile could see the best of any drier and brighter weather with only few showers.

Temperatures will fall back a little compared to Friday, but still be mild on the whole.
