Breakfast brief
Will the weather trick-or-treat us?

It's Halloween, so what spooky weather have we got in store? Find out below!

Kickstarting your morning

Welcome to the Breakfast Brief, offering your daily weather forecast and a sneak peek at the day's news.

Weather outlook

It's another overcast, cloudy day across the board with little in the way of sunshine. However, with the exception of north-west Scotland where there may be some light rain, it will be staying largely dry.

A mild day ahead too, with temperatures once again in the mid-teens, and overnight lows staying in the double digits for many too.

Rain getting a little heavier and more persistent across northern Scotland overnight and into Friday morning, accompanied by a blustery wind.

What's coming up in the news

It's Halloween and to get in the spooky spirit we have a special trick-or-treat forecast coming out later today. Plus, the sun pulled out its costume especially for today! Find out what we mean later.
