Spider lightning crawls across night sky

Spider lightning was seen shooting across the California sky amid severe thunderstorms last week.

California has seen its fair share of wacky weather this year, but this may have been the cherry on top. This is not your everyday Golden State weather.

The lightning was spotted last Monday, March 13th over central California as severe thunderstorms rolled across the region with flooding rain and winds over 60 mph.
