Wet and windy for Ireland
Weather warnings as fresh low arrives

The rollercoaster of weather conditions is still on the move, after Storm Dave, a fresh area of low-pressure arrives with heavy rain and gales in Ireland.

Official yellow rain warnings are live across southern Ireland, from Co. Kerry to Co. Waterford, with yellow warnings for wind also active on Friday in the western counties from Donegal to Galway.

In these areas, gusts are expected to reach up to 60 mph (80 km/h), while off the north of Scotland, Shetland can expect slightly stronger gusts up to 65 mph.

This fresh pressure system is unnamed, should it reach the threshold for naming it would become Storm Eddie.

By Saturday, into Sunday, its influence will spread across the UK too. With a band of rain moving through to start the weekend turning showery to end.
