Sunscreen season - UV levels rising with the warmth

Sunscreen season
UV levels rising with the warmth

Temperature map of the UK and Ireland showing daytime highs in orange tones, with values from 11 in northern Scotland to 22 in southern England, alongside a red thermometer icon.

Temperatures are rising, warmer than usual for this time of the year, breaching the 20s in parts of the UK into midweek, meaning UV levels are rising too.

With multiple days likely to become the year's hottest, it's also the time of the season to be checking on UV levels and grabbing the sunscreen.

The UV index reaches moderate levels on Tuesday across much of the UK, but remains low in Ireland where rain and cloud cover keeps things cooler.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the UV around you with the UV index feature in the app. Here's how to use it!
