Weekend weather
Warmer and sunnier on Sunday

High pressure is settling in overhead, with an improving picture through the weekend.

Saturday will still see some showery outbreaks of rain, most prominently in the north and west though the chance of a few light showers almost anywhere.

Generally drier and warmer weather to the south and east with temperatures reaching the low to mid twenties in some areas.

However as high pressure centres overhead on Sunday, your best chance for getting out and about for weekend activities will be then!

Sunday will see dry weather across the board for the UK and Ireland, with plenty of sunshine around. A warmer day than recently too, with temperatures hitting highs of 25°C in London, 24°C in Birmingham and 25°C in Leeds.
