Heavy rain at midnight Wednesday evening, covered by rain warnings.

Wednesday's unsettled conditions has warranted more weather warnings in Ireland for rain, joining previously issued wind warnings.

Active from 06:00 pm Wednesday, these cover counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo until 06:00 am Thursday morning.

By the time the warning expires, rainfall accumulations of around 35 mm are expected in parts of Mayo, Galway, and Kerry, a county not currently under a weather warning.

These join previously issued wind warnings which run from 06:00 am Wednesday morning until 06:00 pm the same day, with separate warnings issued in the UK for the Western Highlands & Islands of Scotland.
