High pressure brings fine weather

A chilly start for many, but with high pressure delivering broadly dry, sunny conditions.

A chillier start than recent days, but a broadly fine day with sunny spells across the board. Just the chance of the odd isolated shower drifting in.

Cloud will increase across Ireland through the day, bringing some patchy rain to southern portions. Further rain edging in from the west to Ireland through the night.

Remnants of Hurricane Kirk in the Atlantic are expected to travel to our shores by next week. We're looking at the initial signs of what's on the horizon.
