Gusts of up to 45 mph
Wind warnings start the week

Monday's active warnings for severe winds.

Gusting winds reaching speeds of up to 45 mph across northern England and Scotland have prompted warnings for the region.

The blustery conditions persist throughout Monday, easing a little overnight into Tuesday where warnings remain but in a much smaller area of northern England and the far south-west of Scotland.

It is also gusty elsewhere across the UK and Ireland to start the week, but lacking enough strength to cause a worry.
