For UK and Ireland
Pressure system prompts wind warnings

Warning map showing low-level weather warnings for strong winds active across the south-south-east coasts of Ireland, across Wales, and across the south-west and south coast of England.
Active low-level wind warnings on Tuesday.

Low-level weather warnings for gusting winds are in place for Tuesday, mostly in coastal areas as well as further in-land across Wales and south-west England.

Gusts reach up to 45 mph (70 km/h) in these areas as low-pressure sits over the UK bringing heavy rain in places too.

Conditions ease from Wednesday, with a widely calmer outlook.
