A chilly start in the north and west, with plenty of dry weather and sunny spells.

Weather outlook

Stubborn low cloud, mist and fog across large portions of Ireland with a chilly start for many away from the east. Temperatures locally sub-zero chiefly in the north and west with a frost in places.

A broadly dry day albeit for a little light rain skimming south-east England, with variable cloud and sunny spells across the board.

Through the evening and overnight light rain will edge into north-west Scotland, with further mist and fog forming in places.
