Breakfast brief
Winter returns as warmth fades

Much cooler this morning compared to Tuesday's warmth.

Kickstarting your morning

Welcome to the Breakfast Brief, a first look at the day's forecast and a chance to catch up on what you may have missed.

Weather outlook

The day starts with snowy showers over parts of Wales, primarily over higher altitudes of Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons, and centrally, east of Aberystwyth. Elsewhere, mainly clear and dry.

Temperatures have fallen overnight, resulting in a much cooler morning. Particularly for southern Scotland to northern England.

Meanwhile, gusting winds remain present across the UK and Ireland but ease into the night.
