After a brief pause
Fresh low brings renewed winds

After a brief pause in stormy conditions an approaching area of low pressure will see gusts return for Thursday.

Though not reaching the strength seen with Storm Floris, more northern regions of the UK and Ireland will be the ones feeling this strongest as the system arrives overnight into Thursday.

Gusts are expected to reach highs of around 45 mph in western Scotland, and more widely in the 30s after a calmer Wednesday evening.
