Across much of Europe
Spring air dispels winter cold

Our TemperatureRadar shows the maximum values for Sunday.

Temperatures will rise significantly across large parts of central and south-western Europe by the weekend.

The sun will shine more frequently in the Mediterranean, while low-pressure systems will bring rain to central Europe.

On Saturday, temperatures will reach up to 20 °C across southern France and southern Spain, with local temperatures in Andalusia even reaching 25 °C on Sunday. In western and central Europe, temperatures will reach 10 to 17 °C.

Even in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Denmark, temperatures are clearly above zero, albeit still in the single digits. From the Baltic States to eastern Romania, temperatures are only slightly above zero.

Turning milder into the weekendUK & Ireland

As temperatures rise, heavy thawing sets in in regions still covered in snow. Since the ground is often still frozen, the meltwater flows off the surface. Consequently, river levels rise and the risk of flooding increases in some regions.
