Despite early gloom
A warming trend throughout the week

Temperature map of the UK and western Europe on Thursday 18.06 showing warm conditions across Britain, with temperatures reaching 28°C near London, around 21°C near Liverpool, and 19°C across much of Scotland and Ireland.
Highs are back above-average for the time of year this week.

Temperatures are picking up again later in the week, but there is still penty of unsettled weather to get through first.

Daily highs are already reaching the mid-20s for parts of south-east England on Tuesday and Wednesday, though both days will see plenty of showers and gloom from cloud cover across the UK and Ireland.

By Thursday, the highs are pushing into the upper-20s, again in the south-east of England. Remaining around 20 °C further north, and upper-teens across Ireland where conditions are much different.

Thursday starts with rain on the Emerald Isle, steadily growing heavier throughout the day as it moves north-east into Scotland with mild gusts in tow.

This clears on Friday leaving sunny spells and temperatures in the upper-teens once again in Ireland. Meanwhile, it is turning sunnier and warmer in England, with humidity becoming sticky in the south-east too.

Keep an eye on the WeatherRadar all week to dodge the rain as the heat rises.
