Your weather - Your shots
Seeking the cooler scenes

Silhouette of a cat perched on a wooden fence at golden sunset, with bright sun rays, lens flare, and a sunlit grassy field creating a warm countryside scene.
Waxing crescent Moon visible in a clear deep blue daytime sky above green leafy tree branches, creating a peaceful summer scene with excellent visibility.
Pink and grey layered clouds glowing at sunset above silhouetted trees and fields, with warm golden light along the horizon creating a colourful evening sky.
Calm marina under bright sunshine with boats, still water, and thin cirrus and cirrostratus clouds crossing a pale blue sky, while sunlight reflects off the harbour surface.
Blue sky filled with layered altocumulus clouds and wave-shaped cloud bands above a line of trees, with textured mid-level clouds and elongated formations creating a striking atmospheric pattern.

With the temperature high, it is perhaps unsurprising that we sought the scenes at either end of the day this week or the cooler breeze by the water.

While the heat does drop a little in the coming week, it's still hot and sunny for many of us to snap the local scene.

The image shows an intense tropical cyclone over the western Pacific, east of Taiwan and the Philippines. The centre of the system is depicted as a light purple and white vortex with a clearly visible eye, surrounded by a ring of red and orange areas indicating the strongest wind speeds. A white arrow marks the typhoon’s predicted track towards the north-west, in the direction of Taiwan. To the west of the storm lie the Philippines, with the cities of Manila and Cebu; to the north of these lies Taiwan, with Taipei. Further west, the Chinese coast, including Hong Kong, and parts of Vietnam can be seen. The coloured wind map shows predominantly green areas outside the storm’s core, indicating significantly weaker winds. White streamlines illustrate the typhoon’s anti-clockwise circulation in the Northern Hemisphere. The highest wind speeds are concentrated around the eye of the cyclone.
