2021's best global shots
Your weather - Your shots

Having already revisited the best shots of 2021 from the UK and Ireland, today we're looking at some of the best international shots from our users around the world.

We start with a shot from just a few weeks ago. Torsten Brehme submitted this winter wonderland from Harzgerode, Germany using a flashlight to illuminate the falling snowflakes creating an image suitable for a Christmas postcard.

A very rare phenomenon was captured in Zakopane, Poland in January. Kelvin Helmholtz waves, visible in the clouds, are quick to appear and faster to vanish. Marcin Garbowski was rapid on the draw to take this shot.

In the aftermath of February's Storm Orlena, Richard O'Hanlon captured this scene in Potsdam, New York as a fiery sunset blazes over the snow-covered ground below.

What better way to start a winter's day than with the local robin paying a visit? As Jutta Fricke experienced in February in Goslar, Germany.
