Your weather - Your shots

The year is now truly drawing to a close, but before we wave farewell to 2021 we're taking a look through the archives at your best shots from the year.

We start with a submission that featured way back in the first 'Your weather - Your shots' of the year in January. Loz sent in this gorgeous shot of the winter sunset reflecting back from Leicester's Saddington Reservoir.

This October a solar flare hitting Earth's atmosphere resulted in an aurora borealis appearing at much lower latitudes than typical. Something that Geoff Gardens took full advantage of from the Orkney Islands.

The sky was ablaze in July with the low-hanging sun bursting through scattered clouds overhead, captured in Northumberland by Stephen Pemberton on the Shaftoe Crags.

The final shot in our rewind through the year comes from Noni Mueller and the Braes of Ullapool amid the Scottish Highlands. Another shot given life by the setting sun working wonders.
