Wine tasting next year?
British wine peaks in hot weather

Whilst the summer of 2022 caused wine production to sky rocket across Britain, it seems next year could be the best year yet for wine...

In the theme of the mild October, it's certainly feeling more like spring-time. So we wouldn't be shamed to already be dreaming of summer.

Next summer could in fact be the ultimate year to visit British vineyards, as Jan Mirkowski, owner of Fairmile Vineyard, explained to Meteorologist Tamsin Green during her visit to Henley-on-Thames recently.

It's not just the present summer that affects the quality of the wine, but the summer prior due to vine stress. So given the great summer for vineyards this year, if next summer follows suit in any way, you're not going to want to miss wine tasting then!

Check out the video above to hear what Tamsin learnt about how the hot weather has impacted vineyards across Britain amidst the warming climate.
