Wet and windy for some
New Year's Eve outlook

Night-time weather radar map over the UK and nearby Europe showing bands of blue precipitation, snow and rain icons over Scotland and Ireland, city temperature labels, and a timestamp of 00:00 on 01.01.

As we prepare for the celebrations bringing in the new year, there's one question... what is the weather looking like?

Only in south-east England will there be clear skies, which also drops the temperatures down to near freezing. Elsewhere, it's overcast and in northern England and Scotland wet too with possible snow.

For those with firework displays planned, there are strong gusting winds on the cards.
