Mild autumn temperatures continue

Widespread warmth persists this week.

It remains unseasonably warm across the UK and Ireland in the coming days, with highs still in the mid- to high-teens.

Thursday sees temperatures reaching around 17 °C in both country's capital cities and only a few degrees lower more widely.

Despite the warmth, conditions remain generally overcast, with rain in places. Into the weekend, there is a slightly cooler outlook in Scotland and Wales, with south-east England holding on to the warmer air.
