Weather outlook

Plenty of showers across the UK throughout the day, some for Ireland too and with bright spells breaking through at times.

Turning colder through the day as winds switch round to the north, driving in arctic air with temperatures taking a dive.

By early Thursday morning temperatures could be sub-zero across parts of Scotland, perhaps accompanied by a few light snow showers in the Highlands, with a patchy frost possible elsewhere as skies continue to clear to the south.
