Multiple low-pressure systems in the coming days will bring heavy rain over the weekend, turning stormy at times.

With an initial outbreak over parts of Northern Ireland on Thursday, by Saturday, widespread thunderstorms are possible across England.

Despite this, it will remain mostly calm in terms of winds. Only those in southern Ireland, and south-west England can expect a return of strong gusts, up to around 40 mph (64 km/h).
