Hottest day of year?
Temperatures could reach 33°C

Peak temperatures expected on the TemperatureRadar.

Temperatures are set to soar to 33°C in the UK today, potentially making it the hottest day of the year so far.

The previous hottest day of the year was set with 32°C at the end of July, with this record set to be beaten on Monday 12th August.

Temperatures could widely reach the low-thirties across southern and eastern portions of the UK, with high-twenties across western parts of central England too. The highest temperatures look to be around London and Cambridge.

Elsewhere however conditions will be cooler, thanks to a cold front advancing in from the west. This cold front will also be helping to initiate thunderstorms during the morning, as the cold air undercuts the warm air ahead.
