Stressed after Christmas?
Natural stress relief

Meditating woman

Christmas day can be a stressful one for many, so if you're in need of some relief why not try a natural remedy?

A short walk, or even just spending a little time in the garden can help with mild stress. Getting fresh air and plentiful amounts of oxygen alone has been shown to affect the amount of serotonin in the body boosting the so-called ‘happy chemical’ inside us.

Meanwhile, study after study has underlined the impact vitamin D has on boosting mental health. The combination is therefore a perfect remedy to reduce stress levels.

But if you don’t have the time for a quick 30-minute walk, why not try:

· Getting your blood pumping and mood raised through some light exercise

· Relax your body and mind with some lightly scented candles

· We can never say no to tea, and some varieties such as green, peppermint, and chamomile have been shown to possess relaxing properties.

· Give meditation a try, clearing your headspace can help to arrange your priorities for the day
