High temperatures end the week, and the intense heat can be dangerous for the unprepared.

With highs of over 30 °C from Friday in the UK, the latest heatwave has arrived. During these periods, it's important to take extra steps for your health.

Start by ensuring you have access to plenty of fresh drinking water for yourself and pets, spray bottles can be used to spray the face for relief.

The UV Index will match rising temperatures, sun cream is an essential item in a heatwave, and you can keep track of current and forecasted levels with our UV feature.
