20°C dew points have been recorded so far, as thunderstorms begin to develop across Wales and the south-west during the afternoon.

The greatest risk Thursday evening looks to be to the north of London, extending northwards into The Wash and including the Home Counties, alongside Sussex and extending into further counties such as Wiltshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire too.

Torrential downpours are expected, bringing a flash flood risk, accompanied by gusty winds, hail and frequent lightning.
