Rain clears the skies - Grey end to the week before clouds part

Rain clears the skies
Grey end to the week before clouds part

Weather map of the UK showing a band of rain in blue moving east from Ireland across Britain, with cloud cover and temperatures around 11 to 13 degrees, and brighter conditions in mainland Europe.
Another dull morning to begin Friday.

Friday opened with the UK and Ireland covered by overcast conditions, skies do clear later in the day, but not without rain.

Ending the working week with grey, dull tones is never a good welcome for the weekend. Though, anyone with plans for the night will enjoy the stars above in many areas.

The cloud cover dissipated throughout the afternoon, behind a trail of rainfall pushing through the UK, passing Ireland earlier in the day.

Similar conditions to the evening will persist into the weekend, a mix of showers and clearer spells at times on the WeatherRadar.
