Hitting the slopes this half-term?

If you're off skiing in this half-term then listen up! You can find all the latest weather information for your ski resort at your fingertips.

On a ski holiday any time soon and want to know how much snow is on your trails? You will find all the information you need on the app.

Whether you are heading to the Alps, Canada, Japan or even Scotland, all the resorts' information is available in the Mountain & Skiing feature.

feature

Type in your ski location via the search bar, and the Mountain & Skiing icon of a skiier, as circled below, will appear on the top right corner of the homepage, next to your location name.

By clicking the icon, a whole new page will open up detailing if the ski area and its facilities is open, its altitude, the amount of freshly fallen snow, snow depths in the valleys and mountains and even a rating of the current course conditions.

The condition of the slopes is reported daily, directly from the ski areas. The ski weather also has extensive details for cross-country skiers, who can now see how many kilometres of trails have been prepared.

You can even check on the state of the slopes by utilising the webcams available at the ski resorts on the Weather & Radar home page. Just scroll down the page and if there is one available it will be placed beneath the "14 day weather" section.

You can also get a forecast overview of the temperature and weather conditions, the UV index, the wind chill and, if necessary, any weather warnings over the coming days, as with any location.

Happy skiing and snowboarding!
