Binoculars needed!
Last chance to see the comet

Tsuchinshan-ATLAS comet captured in Barbagelata, northern Italy.

This October, the Tsuchinshan-ATLAS comet graced our skies and could be viewed with the naked eye throughout the month. But now, you'll need some assistance.

The comet's location is much higher in the sky but is also much farther away from Earth compared to the last several weeks.

If you have a pair of binoculars or use a camera, however, you could still catch it in the western sky after sunset until early November.

Those who caught glimpses or photos of the comet this month witnessed something spectacular. It lit up across the night sky, especially in places without light pollution.

Tsuchinshan-ATLAS has a long orbit and won't be visible to us on Earth for another 80,000 years. Check the WeatherRadar for clear skies for your last chance of comet viewing!
