Highs doubled in south
North-south divide in temperatures

Warmth spreads across most regions, but it's cooler in parts of Scotland.

There's a big swing in temperatures from north to south today, with highs in Wales and England more than 10C above those seen in Scotland.

With highs of up to 23°C this afternoon in southern England, the contrast is stark on the TemperatureRadar in eastern Scotland where highs are expected to stay in single digits.

Across Ireland, the temperature differences are less pronounced, but the day will also remain slightly cooler in northern areas compared to the south.
