Heavy downpours
Evening thunderstorm risk for north-east

Heavy rain is set to move along the north-east coast of England this evening, with thundery outbreaks possible.

The conditions begin to form from around 07:00 pm, Monday evening, with rain growing heavier as it then moves south in the following hours.

While moving south, there is a ripe set-up for some thunderstorms to develop, though this area is also partly over the North Sea. The stretch of the coast from Newcastle to Hull can expect to feel the heavy downpours.
