Conditions take a turn on Thursday, with strong gusting winds across the UK and Ireland prompting warnings.

As low pressure moves by in the Atlantic, gusts reach gale force in parts of Scotland, and could turn widely disruptive across the north of the UK and Ireland.

These will be strongest in the Western Scotland, where gusts are expected to reach up to 65 miles per hour (105 km/h) overnight into Friday.

For Ireland, it will be most felt in the west, also seeing gusts of 65 miles per hour (105 km/h) in Belmullet.
