Temperatures are rising towards the end of the week, with highs of up to 16°C expected across the UK and Ireland.

The shift is notable in the mornings. In Glasgow, Thursday morning sees temperatures drop into freezing before 09:00 am.

At the same time, by Friday morning, Glasgow starts the day around 12°C.
