Conditions calming into the weekend

1/4

Conditions for the coming days remain relatively unsettled in the wake of Storm Chandra, before improving for the weekend.

The gales have departed, but it remains gusty for Thursday into Friday. Into the weekend, the winds largely calm.

Rain remains, particularly in northern England and eastern Scotland on Saturday.

Despite this, temperatures in the south head back intto double-digits, providing a rather pleasant winter's day.
