More warnings in force today

It's another morning of potential travel disruption, with wintry weather producing hazards on the roads.

Rain, sleet and snow will be clearing eastwards across southern England, South Wales and southernmost fringes of Ireland through this morning, with icy surfaces possible.

Check here if you're unsure how and where to find the severe weather warnings inside the app.

Away from cloudy skies in the south, Scotland, Northern England, Northern Ireland and northern parts of Ireland will be under clear and cold conditions, with a hard frost expected.

It will also be bitterly cold out there this morning, especially across parts of Scotland so do wrap up warm! Snow showers should largely be kept at bay though.

Later today, another bout of sleet and snow is possible across southern England. You can read about the complexity of Wednesday's weather systems here, while we also keep you up to date throughout the day.
