Breakfast brief - Sunny start for some, overcast later

Much of central to southern England begin with plenty of sunshine, but clouds elsewhere in the UK and Ireland do descend for another overcast end to the week.

Temperatures are widely in the low- to mid-20s for much of the UK, slightly cooler to the north and in Scotland, while winds across the UK and Ireland are calm. A chance of some showers in places.
