Breakfast brief - Showers turn heavy, potentially thundery

Showers continue today, though turning heavier, with a chance of also turning thundery later in the afternoon.

The heavier showers move south-east from Wales through England. Thunderstorms could develop as these move and are most likely over southern England into the evening.
