Attention all stargazers!
Solar eclipse this morning

All you need to know right here about the UK's only solar eclipse of the year.

The partial solar eclipse will be peaking between 10.50-11.00 this morning, Tuesday October 25th, and will last until around 11.45. At this time, local to where you are in the world, people will be able to see different percentages of the sun covered.

In Russia for example, more than 80% of the Sun's surface will be covered, whereas the portion is significantly smaller in the UK and Ireland, at around 10-20%.

This will be the first partial eclipse to take place in the UK in almost a year and a half, so make sure you check the WeatherRadar to see if viewing conditions are right where you are.

Don't forget your eclipse glasses for safe viewing!
