Typhoon Jangmi has left a trail of destruction in Japan. Flooding, landslides, and severe damage to homes and infrastructure have all been reported.

In Owase, in the south-east of the country, over 530 mm of rain fell within 24 hours – a record for June. However, heavy rain and storms are forecast again this weekend.

Typhoon Jangmi swept across Japan Wednesday, bringing gale-force winds of up to 95 miles per hour and torrential rain
