On Monday, a tornado caused extensive damage near Paris. One person was killed and at least four were injured in the town of Ermont, north-west of the French capital.

Several construction cranes collapsed, damaging surrounding houses and parked cars. In addition, numerous roofs were blown off.

The WeatherRadar shows the storm from which the tornado near Paris developed.

Tornadoes were also sighted in other countries on Monday. North of Ghent in Belgium, a tornado ripped roofs off buildings and uprooted trees.

Another swept across fields and knocked down trees near Sneek in the Netherlands. There was no further damage or injuries.
