Warnings for overnight thunderstorms

The current outlook for Friday evening as several storm complexes move through

Several thunderstorm areas will spread across parts of the UK this evening and overnight tonight.

Some of these storms may be accompanied by very heavy rain, locally large hail as well as gusty winds which may cause disruption, mainly between 8pm this evening and 1am Saturday morning.

The area most likely to see those impacts are over the far Southeast and East, where amber warnings are active.

The conditions arrive after a warm and sometimes humid day, London and Norwich can expect highs of 28°C and 27°C respectively as temperatures peak.

Keep an eye on how conditions will evolve on the WeatherRadar and plan ahead if you live in or are travelling through the affected areas.
