Video: How volcanoes impact our weather

Volcanoes have been filling the news lately as Iceland sees little relief on the Reykjanes Peninsula, but can volcanic activity actually impact our weather?

Some locations are more prone to tectonic activity than others, and some eruptions are also more explosive or damaging than others, but they can all affect our weather patterns in different ways.

Meteorologist Tamsin Green takes a deep-dive into the different kinds of volcanoes found around the world, including visiting an underwater volcano in the Philippines, and a highly explosive stratovolcano in Indonesia, explaining their intricate relationship with the weather and climate.
