The warm summer weather in the UK and Ireland is now turning more unsettled again due to a low-pressure system from the Atlantic.

The wind is already picking up noticeably today, reaching speeds of 30 to 45 mph (50 to 72 km/h), especially in the southern parts of the country.

In addition, numerous showers and brief thunderstorms are moving across Ireland and Scotland.

On Tuesday, the low-pressure system will reach the north of England.

Gusting winds will blow across the country, with stormy conditions on the coast. Heavy rain and temperatures below 20 °C will make conditions even more unpleasant. In Ireland, however, the weather will calm down again.
