Heavy rain & strong winds
Storm Conall arrives tonight

Weather radar showing heavy rain across England and Wales from Storm Conall. Much of the rainfall arrives early Wednesday morning.

The third named storm of the 2024/25 season, Conall, has been named by the Dutch weather service.

Storm Conall will impact southern and south-eastern regions of the UK Tuesday night with heavy rainfall.

Some areas in these regions could see 30-40 mm of rainfall as the system passes over, with a chance of up to 50 mm falling in parts of the Isle of Wight, Sussex, and Kent.

Conall will move into the North Sea on Wednesday, developing further before hitting the Netherlands.

Naming a storm

Although Conall was named by KNMI, the Dutch weather service, the name will also be used here. Storm names are shared between the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

South-east England will feel the stronger winds as the storm develops.

Track the rain using the WeatherRadar, and switch to the WindRadar for gusts.
