Temperatures are already above 30 degrees in the morning and will reach over 40 degrees during the day. The heatwave is hitting Greece and Turkey particularly hard, making life difficult for people there.

Heat warnings have also been issued for the south-eastern Turkish cities of Diyarbakir and Antalya, as well as in the Aegean region.
