Heavy monsoon rains have caused massive flooding and landslides in some regions of South Asia. More than 365 people have already died, and many more are missing.

The floodwaters swept away houses and people, destroying entire villages. Rescue workers are facing major challenges due to the destruction of infrastructure, especially in remote mountainous areas.

This year's monsoon is particularly severe. However, there is also criticism from the population, especially regarding the lack of warnings, inadequate preparation and failed evacuation measures.
